THE
BIBLE:
Was inspired by God, and written by men (2 Timothy 3:16).
Its Words are completely true and without error. It
is our guide for faith and practice (John 10:35).
SALVATION:
Is a gift of God made available through the death of
Christ in atonement for our sins (John 3:16-18). We
receive the gift of Salvation by faith alone.
GOD:
Is the Creator of the heavens and earth. God exists
in three Persons: The Father, Jesus the Son and the
Holy Spirit. He is the Redeemer, Preserver and Ruler
of the universe. He is Holy and Perfect. To Him we owe
our highest love, reverence and obedience. We believe
that God is Omnipotent--All Powerful, Omniscient--All
Knowing and Omnipresent--everywhere (Gen 1:1).
JESUS:
He is the sinless, perfect Son of God, who was conceived
of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. His death on
the cross made provision for the redemption of sin.
He was raised from the dead on the third day, with a
new glorified body. After spending some forty days on
the earth, He ascended to the right-hand of the Father,
always making intercession for us there. We anxiously
await His glorious return when He will come in person
and with power to judge this world (Luke 1:26-28, Luke
24, Rev 19:11-16).
HOLY
SPIRIT:
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third Person
of the Trinity, coexistent with the Father and the Son.
The Holy Spirit is the convictor of sin to the lost
and the comforter to the believer. The Holy Spirit baptizes
the believer into the body of Christ, permanently indwells
him, and seals him in salvation for all eternity. The
Holy Spirit inspired holy men of old to write the Scripture.
He illuminates us to understand truth. He exalts Christ
(Acts 1:48, 1 Thess 1:5 & 6).
THE
LOCAL CHURCH:
We believe that the New Testament Church is a body of
baptized believers with Christ as its head and the Holy
Spirit as its guide. The New Testament churches promote
God’s work by cooperating together for missions
and many other joint efforts. The local church is governed
independently of outside person, brands, or authorities
(Heb 10:24-25, I Cor 12:12-31, Malachi 3:8-12). |
