Coat
of Many Colors Ministries began
in 1999 when God called Ronnie Yother and his family
into His service. A small business owner in Hixson,
Tennessee, Ronnie and his family were always faithful,
active members of the local church. However, as often
happens in families, Ronnie, his wife Sandy and their
three children Josh, Abbie and Mandy were going through
a great deal of brokeness. "When the Lord had us
right where He wanted us, He rescued us and revealed
His purpose for our lives. We never saw it coming!"
Now the family is growing and God has prepared ministry
for each member. From church-planting to preaching and
music, CMC is reaching the world with the love of Jesus
Christ.
God
revealed the name for our ministry, Coat of
Many Colors, to our son Josh six years ago. The name
was chosen in part, because of a "coat-drive"
that CMC sponsored as our very first ministry opportunity.
None of us realized at that time the very special significance
of this very special name.
Several
years later, as God has supernaturally provided
for over 52
church buildings, the first orphanage and even our transportation
to Brazil, we can see what Joseph's coat really represents.
God is wrapping His coat of favor and blessings around
ordinary people like us, so that His name can be glorified
all over the world. God is faithful in the small things
too. He had a perfect name for our ministry before we
even knew there was a ministry!
Coat of Many Colors
is a non-profit 501C organization. CMC is a "Kingdom-minded"
ministry and is not bound by denomination. As "lay
people", our testimony is very simple. We believe
that God is looking for ordinary people to do extraordinary
things! If He can use our family, He can use anyone.
